Cheerios everywhere

In five days Trinity and Terra will turn 10 months old! As every parents says 'how time flies.' Trinity crawls everywhere, pulls herself up and grabs whatever she can and puts it straight in her mouth. I've got to keep a close eye on her now! Thank goodness Terra can't quite crawl yet. She's getting close though. I have a friend whose child didn't crawl until 10 months so I'm not too worried. Terra enjoys standing at the coffee table and banging the remote loudly while giggling gleefully. She still needs to learn to fall properly because she'll fall back straight as a board and knock her head resulting in a cry fest for several moments. So her and I are working on her falling on her bum and then clapping and yelling 'hooray'.

They both have two bottom teeth and are just now breaking in the top. Which equals very grumpy and crying. Solid food is now an 2-3 times a day adventure. (Cheerios are now found regularly throughout the house amid various toys, Tupperware, wooden spoons, pacifiers and sippy cups.) They've eaten everything we've offered and love cheese. They still drink formula but we are slowly weening them off. As far as talking they continue to say 'dada', 'mama', and 'baba' but no real words yet. Although they have begun exploring new sounds such as 'nana', 'riri' and *bbbrrrr* said with spit flying wildly.

What?

Almost 8 months

Hello all. We've been a busy bunch and haven't had time to post to the blog. At one of the girls check-ups the doctor heard a heart murmur in Terra's heart. We go in on Oct 8th to have it checked out by a heart doctor. I'm a bit concerned but it could turn out to be nothing and the heart is still just developing. Terra has also broken in two bottom teeth!

6 months and counting...

The girls are a little over 6 months old now and growing like weeds. At their check up Terra was 13 lbs 4 oz and 25% for both height and head measurements. Trinity was 15 lbs 5 oz and 52% for height and 50 % on head measurements. They eat solid foods daily that I make for them. Yams, peas, green beans, apples, carrots, bananas, pears and even avocado. Thank go to Julie, aka Nana, for the 'Magic Bullet'. It grinds up the food just right for the girls and is super easy to clean. For Troys birthday we went to the museum to look at the Rembrandt exhibit. The girls went with us and slept through most of it. Some woman there couldn't believe that they were so good! Yep thats our girls!

Growing and learning

We've been working with the girls on familiar words such as Mama, Dada and Bottle or Ba. Trinity just started saying this in the morning and I got it on tape in the afternoon. So cute!

5 1/2 Months old

The girls are now 5 1/2 months old. They are chattering, drooling, rolling and smiling just about non-stop! They keep us busy that's for sure. Trinity can now stand with assistance. In fact she prefers to stand rather than sit. Terra likes to eat solid food more than trinity but her tummy doesn't quite like the little bit of fruit I've added. Think I'll hold of on the fruit for another week or two. Trinity reaches for food we are eating and has sampled my bagel and some coffee.

Growing girls

Well the girls had their check-up and are growing like weeds. Trinity is now 13 lbs and Terra is almost 11 lbs. Trinity regulary turns over onto her tummy and pushes her legs like she wants to crawl. Terra is still working on turning over and is almost there. Both chatter a bit but I'm waiting for them to really give me an all out giggle. Can't wait!

HUGE Thank you to Sally! She has been coming by every Thrusday to watch the girls for a few hours. It gives me time to get things done like paperwork, laundry or show apartments. Or just go out and enjoy myself. Going to the movies last week was a treat! The girls get spoiled with homemade outfits, floor blankets and burp rags - oh and lots of hugs and kisses. They love their nanny Sally! And I appreciate her very much. THANK YOU SALLY!

Four Month birthday!

I can't believe the girls are four months old! How time flies. Terra is finding her voice, chattering and squealing right along with her sister. Trinity has figured out how to flip from her back to her tummy so there is no stopping her now.

It's finally happened!

*Angels siging, sun beams streaming, trumpets blaring* It's finally happened! The girls have finaly slept through the night twice in a row!! They go down between 8 and 9 and don't stir until 4:30 or 5 in the morning. Who would have thought that I would be happy to get up at 5? LOL It's two and a half months now and Trinity and Terra are sure getting their own personalities. Terra is impatient and wants to be held a lot while Trinity is more layed back goes with the flow... usually. Although they cry for their morning food, once I see them in their crib their faces light up in the cutest smile. What a wonderful way to start the day - a smile from your child. *content sigh*

I also wanted to acknowledge that quite a few people were not mentioned in my last post. And I feel bad that some people felt left out. Truth is is that I did that in only a half hour, while the girls were napping and I had to finish up quickly because they were stiring. This is why I resorted to the 'Everyone' at the end. It's weird that I have to explain myself but I don't want anyone to feel unloved by my little art project.

Lori visited from CO. While she and Troy chatted I took a 13 hour nap! Wow! And she watched the girls that night so both Troy and I could sleep! THANK YOU LORI!!!!

2 months old

The girls turned 2 months on April 9th. Trinity is now 8lbs 14oz and Terra is 6lbs 14oz. They are getting so big yet Trinity is 5% in weight and 48% in height. Terra is under 5% in both. The doctor says when they reach 2 years they'll have caught up to their peers.

Trinity smiled a real smile on Easter Sunday and I caught Terra smiling (or gassy) in one of the pics bellow. Identical or not? It's hard to tell.
