Out growing...

Troy was singing to the girls one morning and decided to video tape it. See it HERE.
The girls liked the song so much they've been learning to sing it themselves. Especially Trinity. See it HERE.

I'm gearing up to sell the girls infant car seats but just had to take one more pic of them for comparison.

More babies!!!

So we wanted to post more pictures and video to share with everyone. It's amazing to see the girls grow physically and congnitivley. Sharing this journey with them is truly a 'blessing'.
Enjoy.

In June, at 18 months, the girls finally got their 'upgrade' to front facing car seats.
Some day maybe they will be able to use the attached cup holder. For now they are just enjoying the ability to look forward in the car.

Here are some more pictures from the pumpkin patch outing that we took in early October. They had an animal barn that the girls really enjoyed. The girls were puzzled by the llama, something the had never seen before. Bunnies are always a favorite.

Trinity let us know she'd found 'the one' for her. We think it weighed more that she did. The girls opted for the small pumpkins that are just their size.

Summer is gone

I can't believe that April was the last time I wrote any thing here, opps! Well over the summer the girls spend lots of time at the local parks, one of which has a wading pool that drains and fills ever 15 minutes. (Fills up like a waterfall over some stones.) All the kids love it! Katrina's parents rented a unit in their building and got to spend some time with the girls over the summer. They loved visiting Granma and Granpa and playing with the toy shelf Granma kept stocked.

Trinity is about 25 lbs now and Terra is 22 lbs. At least that is what the pumpkin scale said when we went to gather our Fall pumpkins at the end of Sept, before the October rush! I think Katrina had more fun that the girls. Katrina was off in the field hunting for the perfect pumpkin and Troy was with the girls who didn't like tripping over the vines.

So here are some picture, enjoy.

Active and Growing Girls

Sometimes hanging around the apartment during the
Portland winters can make a girl a little bored.

While their ability to tell us what they want is still limited, it is
becoming very apparent that they understand more of what we are saying.

When we ask if they would like to go for a walk,
it seems like they can hardly get dressed fast enough!

And then they are off! The days of always sitting in their stroller
are done. Now they love to explore the streets of Portland.
Their farthest walk so far was five blocks. Walking with Troy
makes walks much easier. Two little girls exploring the world
can make a walk seem like herding cats.

They love going to the park. There is always
lots of new stuff on the ground to pick up and show us.

The girls also like to go down the slide. Unfortunately, the rain
sometimes ruins that fun. They still find the slides fascinating
though, even if it is putting mulch on the end of the slide, beating it
with a stick, and then wiping it off with one big sweep of the arm.
Check it out.

Trinity likes to walk while holding hands.
Terra it still getting used to the idea.

Trinity even likes to walk holding a stick.

Inside, the girls stay very active. Their growing interest
in climbing has required a new level of baby-proofing.
It seem like they will climb on anything. One day we found
Trinity laying in the second level of her bedroom shelves.
Here we found Terra climbing up on Trinity to see if
there is anything on top of their box-fort.

And after getting dirty at the park, who doesn't love a little bubble bath?
Is Terra pretending to have a goatee like daddy?

After such a busy day, sometimes laying down
for a nap seems like too much trouble.

Until next time....

1st Birtday! Hooray!

Feb 9th was Trinity's and Terra's first birthday. That morning we all went to have our pictures taken with Troy's parents who came up from Phoenix to celebrate. The party was held later that day in our apartment. My sister Teresa and her husband Bob came by along with our friend Brook. The girls were stripped down to some onesies that we didn't mind if they got covered with cake and the party began.

A video of them and their cakes HERE
